PeaceDiviners™ Products

Proceeds from the sale of PeaceDiviners™ educational products are the primary income that provide for both the needs of the partners, and operating capital for the production of books, films, study tours, scholarships, and other activities. PeaceDiviners™ is a self sufficient organization, not reliant on donors and therefore these products are the bread and butter of our fundraising activities. The Whoooshhh! (“Stop!”) children’s book series is a guide to parents and teachers as well as children for sustainable living and contribution through consumer choice and other action. Related products from the book series (fair trade Whoooshhh!™ Chocolate bars, Willa Water Bottle™, SamanthaSilk™ Ties (and PeaceDiviners™ ties too) are also available through schools, or online.

Plans to expand the fundraising activities are long-term and continue to evolve. For example, limited edition prints of the artwork from international theme year calendars will be offered in future years. Catalogue fundraisers for schools are also planned that will contain Fair Trade products related to the UN international theme-year.

Loaves and Fishes

PeaceDiviners™’ products serve multiple purposes and raise funds for many causes.

• The print products (children’s books, cards, calendars etc.) promote awareness of international development programs. They are designed as information, consciousness-building, and teaching tools.

• DVDs of the film series will also be available for sale as fundraisers.

• Products are high quality, value-priced and therefore easy to sell.

• Schools raise funds (e.g. $3 - $4 per sale)

• Each item sold yields a donation to Oxfam or World Vision (or to an alternative charity of choice), donated in the school’s name.

• PeaceDiviners™ grant partners also benefit (first year projections about $1-$2 per sale, more as sales increase.)

• PeaceDiviners™ products are not readily available in retail stores, so make unique gifts. You can purchase them directly or through school, religious community, or civic organization fundraisers and in some seasonal craft markets. Ask a child or teenager if his or her school is raising funds through these delightful items that fund so many ventures. (Please put the school or other organization in touch if you would like them to partner with us.)

• Schools may also consider giving a commission to students to increase both numbers in the sales force and volume of sales. This also adds to the number of beneficiaries from this fundraising project to include students – a multiplier effect for the feel-good value of purchasing it, at still fair market price!

• Those who buy the products can be satisfied that they’ve contributed to at least five good causes! (Oxfam/World Vision, the school, the students, PeaceDiviners™ partners, and the partner’s communities) and also enjoy a quality item.
