Living Stones Network of Hope
Peter’s nighttime attack by burglars in their own home in Davao City, Philippines left him scarred with stab wounds in the chest and terrified for months, but spurred this remarkable couple to tackle the problem at source by helping homeless street kids. The couple runs a mobile school, a testing center for tuberculosis, an orphanage for babies, and a shelter for homeless boys in Davao City, Philippines. They are energetic, positive, do-all types of people who inspire all they meet, whether playing basketball with the street boys or on the golf course, where Peter, a scratch player, does a lot of the foundation’s fundraising.
They are self-financed, and their modest personal resources come from family members, gifts from friends and occasional ventures into business (such as selling vitamins, for example). The Bollants need funds to school their three children to free Gwen from the time required to homeschool so she can concentrate on the day-to-day operation of the home, matching babies with adoptive parents, and the never-ending job of fundraising.
