Activities for Schools, Students, and Communities PeaceDiviners™ is engaged in a number of activities designed to raise awareness and share the wealth through schools, select international non-profit organizations, and civic or religious communities. PeaceDiviners™ uses every opportunity to raise awareness of real life concrete actions at ground level to combat serious social, environmental, and other policy-related problems — especially poverty, in all its guises, including: • water scarcity and pollution • urban slums • rural isolation • fair and equitable trade • political and ethnic conflict • gender, race and age discrimination and inequities • labor and human rights • rights to medical aid • maternal health care • education for all • the rights of children, the mentally ill, and the disabled • environmental justice • climate change • microfinance Through children’s books, other print products and films PeaceDiviners™ raises awareness of the sectors in which our partners work. In addition, PeaceDiviners™ information and educational materials illuminate the necessary role these social development artists play in global harmony and health. Fundraising for schools, civic or religious organizations, and international nonprofits PeaceDiviners™ products serve multiple fundraising purposes. It is truly a win-win-win-win scenario: Schools or other groups receive a portion of the funds (percentage depends on the school’s sales strategy); Oxfam/World Vision (or other charity of choice) receives some in the school’s name; PeaceDiviners™ receives a percentage for grants to social development artists, and in some cases the student sales force can earn a per sale commission as well. In addition, those who purchase the products have an informative, affordable collectible. PeaceDiviners™ encourages schools to sell PeaceDiviners™ products for community or school fundraisers. Each sale thus benefits five major groups: the students, the schools, Oxfam and World Vision, PeaceDiviners™ grant partners, and all the people on whose behalf they work. (In states and provinces where sales tax is charged, even the government can be included among the shared beneficiaries!) If you represent a school, nonprofit, or other organization and would like to learn about partnering with us for your next fundraising project, please contact us! Within the first five years of operations, PeaceDiviners™ plans to fund scholarships for students who have demonstrated social commitment through volunteer activities. Summer or Gap-Year jobs are possible either at PeaceDiviners™ offices or in the field with the social entrepreneurs (funded by PeaceDiviners™). A planned film series will track a group of young privileged travelers and chronicle their transformation through exposure to the grant partners, with whom they will work for six months. (Seeking investors.) Study tours to visit the partners will be run each year, sponsored by PeaceDiviners™ and awarded to the best salespeople.
