Activities for Grant Partners

Much of what we do behind the scenes to support our grant partners is designed to relieve them of some of the day-to-day pressures that remove them from their social development focus.

The Core Concern - Living Allowance Funding

Provision of subsistence honoraria in the form of annual grants for living expenses to full time volunteers is the central raison d’être behind the founding of PeaceDiviners™ to financially recognize the personal sacrifices people make who are driven to service, and thereby indirectly assist the people they serve. These grants average $15,000-$35,000 and are designed to remove financial pressures in order to permit the social development artist to focus on the voluntary service activity they have embraced.

Emergency Funds

PeaceDiviners™ reserves a portion of its budget each year to cover unexpected expenses that may interfere with regular budgeting such as weddings, births, adoptions, funerals, medical care, emergency travel, or flexible, no-interest bridge financing. These are awarded on a case-by-case basis in close consultation with the partners and/or their networking partners (a trusted group of volunteers who help PeaceDiviners™ find worthy grant partners).

Web Information Service

Parts of the PeaceDiviners™ website are dedicated to grant partners to provide details of their projects. PeaceDiviners™ designs the pages, writes the web copy, and takes photographs as required. The grant partners’ pages also link to their organizational sites, if they have a web presence. This is useful if donors are interested in particular issues or would like to be involved more directly to support the grassroots level work, especially for those who do not have the resources to maintain their own websites.

Films

Where required, we sponsor modest videos for the partners to assist their organizational fundraising efforts. Plans are to use the footage for an inspirational documentary on the concept of social entrepreneurism.

Awards

PeaceDiviners™ seeks opportunities to nominate the partners for awards and grants from other foundations and institutes, which helps raise their profile and enables their fundraising.
